I have this theory. That if I don't just write this one sentence, I may never be brave enough to tell the whole story. Or any story ever again. Right now in my head all roads lead to this sentence.

Chris and I are getting divorced.

More to come...

Longtime reader here....

Praying for you. There is hope. If you and he believe your marriage can survive, it can. Seek a counselor who believes in marriage.

This can't have been an easy decision, and I am so sorry for the pain you've been through and for the hard road you have ahead. I hope you find peace and healing soon.

I'm proud of you for writing that one sentence and "putting it out into the universe." That can be very frightening, like you're somehow sealing your fate if you type out those words. But they are just words, after all, and you are on a journey that starts and ends with one step. Congratulations for having the courage to begin. We're listening.

Hugs,
Nikki

My heart hurts for you. But celebrates your bravery in writing that sentence.
Good luck on the road ahead. Because even if it seems like all roads lead to that sentence, maybe you just needed to get to that sentence to see the other roads.
